We are a family-run workshop from the Salzburg region, with the aim of helping both children and adults develop a feel for sustainable, high-quality toys made from natural materials.
Our self-designed wooden toys, produced in Austria, focus on open-ended play,
creativity, aesthetics, and durability. Handmade, sustainable, and finished with natural oils and colors, our toys offer a meaningful and enriching way for children to play.
The wood we use comes from sustainable forestry and grows right here in the region around Salzburg – the home of Romanswerk.
In our online shop ROMANSWERK & FRIENDS, we combine our own products with
carefully selected toys from other special manufacturers across Europe.

Wir glauben, dass gutes Spielzeug nicht laut, blinkend oder kurzlebig sein muss.
Es darf schlicht sein, schön in der Hand liegen und Raum für Fantasie lassen.
